Cumming School of Medicine - Since opening our doors in 1967, our medical school has grown and evolved into an internationally recognized leader in education and research with a focus on precision medicine and precision public health. We are incredibly proud of the rich history of our medical school, and look forward to the next 50 years as we work together to create the future of health in Calgary and beyond.

Throughout 2017, we will mark this special milestone by appreciating how far we’ve come on our journey in the evolution of medicine, and the impact our school has in southern Alberta and around the world

Graduate Students' Association - The Graduate Students’ Association of the University of Calgary (GSA) is committed to providing a strong foundation for our members and community by offering valued services and programs that support and empower graduate students during and after their academic endeavors.

Through services such as professional development workshops, mentorship programs, leadership opportunities, social events, a health and dental plan, and awards, grants, and bursaries, the GSA is dedicated to enhancing the well-being and student experience of graduate students.



Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program - The Biomedical Engineering Graduate (BMEG) Program is educating the next generation of leaders for the bio-economy with multidisciplinary training programs that involve over 250 students, 67 faculty members and 6 faculties.

With the launch of the Engineering Solutions for Health: Biomedical Engineering research strategy in March 2015, BMEG is building on a vibrant training and research environment and rich history of collaboration that stimulates discovery and fosters technological innovations in health, providing an engineering approach to improve quality of life.

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - The University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) is committed to strengthening the connections between human and animal medicine, a concept known as One Health. UCVM was established in 2005 to meet Alberta’s need for highly-skilled veterinary graduates supporting rural Alberta, production animal and equine industries, animal and human health research, and public health.  

With approximately 70 faculty members, 120 DVM students, 12 advanced clinical trainees, 120 graduate students, and 35 post-doctoral fellows, UCVM is dedicated to meeting the animal and public health needs of Alberta through its education, research and outreach programs.

Innovate Calgary -  Innovate Calgary is a innovation-transfer and business incubator that has guided research and innovation-driven start-up enterprises reach the next stage of their business development and to market for the last 35 years. 

Innovate Calgary is also home of The Inc., a space to early start-ups to work and receive mentorship and guidance. This includes start-up programs, one-on-one mentoring and coaching, and support by experienced and passionate entrepreneur advisers.
