Endometriosis is one of the most common, profound and overlooked health conditions. In endometriosis the endometrial tissue (the tissue that normally lines the uterus) grow outside the uterus resulting in pain, bleeding, fertility challenges and digestive problems. Treatment options today are limited to pain relief, hormonal medications and/or surgery to remove tissue.
Neuraura is developing LoOoP, a biowearable platform, with a first indication in PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), another of the most common chronic conditions in women's health. Electrostimulation appears to be a feasible treatment option for endometriosis based on current research in regenerative medicine. Through this challenge we are seeking to outline the technical and commercial requirements to extend the LoOoP platform for application in endometriosis.
